Want to see an article sample?  Here’s a snippet from “The Art of Highly Effective eNewsletters – Types of Emails”:

You identified a purpose for your newsletter and the ideal audience. The next decision to make is what kind of content to send. It’s not good to send only promotional emails. People are likely to tune them out. What people tend to like is purely informational content. Here are some of the types of content you can send: Tips and advice. Take common problems that your audience faces or that are related to your niche and offer solutions. Try to help out your readers somehow. News stories. Find news stories that are of interest to your audience and share them. It’s good to offer your own 2 cents and not just share as-is. For example, write some type of commentary. Visual content. Give them links to videos, images, infographics or other visual content they’d enjoy. Readers’ questions. Take questions for readers and answer them for everyone. If one reader asked it, probably others are wondering too. Personal stories. Give your readers a personal story. It’s best if you can tie this into a tip or piece of advice they can use.
